Vidyut Patra is Associate Vice President, Special Projects, WWM Group. Having joined Worldwide Media in 2013, Vidyut in his current role is responsible to extend the brand proposition of the titles and create monetizable original content (fiction & non-fiction) for TV & digital while overseeing all business operations and leading cross functional teams. With a deep understanding of creative businesses, his strengths lie in incubating & managing new businesses and projects that help meet long & short term objectives of the organization.
An alumnus of the reputed Bournemouth Media School, UK, Vidyut has spent over 13 years in the Media and Entertainment industry. Starting his career with brands like Radio Mirchi & Channel V, Vidyut went on to become the brand manager for 9XM. He later moved on to a content solution role at MTV and also spent time heading events and client servicing for them. Post his stint at Viacom 18, he further went on to take up leadership roles; beginning with heading the Mumbai station for Red FM and then as the Business Head of Femina Believe.
Coming from a strong broadcasting background, Patra’s forte lies in brand development, content creation, strategy & revenue.
